Possession of drug paraphernalia: A 20-year-old Macedonia man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs Dec. 2 at 12:25 a.m. on East Highland Road. Police said they stopped the man's vehicle because a computer check showed the driver had a suspended driver's license and because the driver veered into the center turn lane and the man was charged with both. Police said they found a container with 1 gram of marijuana in the man's pocket.
Possession of drugs: A 49-year-old Maple Heights woman was charged with possession of drugs Dec. 2 at 12:40 a.m. at Macedonia Commons. Police responded to an anonymous call about a suspicious vehicle in which the occupants appeared to be smoking marijuana. Police said there was a strong odor of marijuana inside the vehicle, which they said contained two women when they arrived. There was a 0.4 gram marijuana cigarette inside the Maple Heights woman's purse, according to police. No one else was charged.
Stealing container of pop: A 37-year-old McDermott man was charged with theft and driving under suspension Nov. 30 at 12:36 p.m. at an East Aurora Road business. Store employees reported the man took a container of pop and left without paying for it. An officer reported he saw the man across the street at a nearby work site and watched him put the drink inside a trailer. After identifying him from the store videotape, the officer went to the work site and was told the man drove to a Macedonia Commons store, where police located him. Police said the man admitted to stealing the drink and found the man's driver's license was suspended.
Tools taken: A West Hill Drive man reported Nov. 18 at 1:24 p.m. someone took $15,500 worth of tools from his locked tool trailer. The man reported the wires connected to an alarm had been cut and the locks securing the rear door were missing.
Stolen vehicle found: Police said a stolen vehicle that was car-jacked Nov. 25 was found Nov. 26 at 4:55 a.m. on Pine Hill Road. Sagamore Hills police said Bedford and Oakwood police were in pursuit of the 2015 black Honda Civic that was car-jacked at gun point in Cleveland before it was found abandoned in Sagamore Hills. Police said the driver fled the scene on foot and escaped.
Fraudulent use of debit card: A Canterbury Lane woman reported Nov. 19 at 11:13 a.m. someone fraudulently used her debit card to make purchases totaling $282 in the Columbus area.
The woman reported she was tipped off by her bank that there was unusual activity on her debit account and a hold was placed on the account.
